We have posted on our website a brief summary of the Governing Board’s work session that was held on Feb 2nd, 2026. It is posted in both English and Spanish.

We have an important update regarding the timeline for decisions related to our 2026–2027 budget reduction options.

Our original plan was for the Governing Board to take action at the regularly scheduled board meeting on February 10. As our work has continued, it has become clear that additional time is needed to ensure the Board has all necessary details and that accurate, complete information can be shared with staff and families in advance of any decisions.

To support transparency and allow time for the community to review the information, ask questions, and provide input, the timeline has been adjusted as follows:

• February 10 – Regular Governing Board Meeting (5:00 pm) The Board will hold further discussion regarding the proposed budget reduction options and will include a call to the public. No decisions will be made at this meeting.
• February 18 – Special Governing Board Meeting (5:30 pm) The Board will take final action on budget reduction decisions. A call to the public will also be included at this meeting.

This adjustment allows time to finalize details, communicate clearly with employees and families ahead of the meetings, and ensure the Board can make informed decisions with full context and community input.
